- Survey the bed. The corner posts on one side are seriously rotten.
- Go inside for a cup of tea.
- Shovel out dirt from long side of the bed.
- Find the piece of 4 by 4 post left over from the last project.
- Find the saw.
- Cut the post piece in half.
- Find the hammer and long nails.
- Place the post—of course, it doesn't quite fit.
- Dig some more.
- Untangle hair from blackberry bramble for the third time.
- Trim the blackberry bramble and put it in the compost.
- Dig out the bed a bit more.
- Pound on the boards.
- Remove rusted nails.
- Place posts and hammer into place.
- Pick up potatoes unearthed in digging process.
- Chase the cat.
- Refill the trenches and rake the bed smooth.
- It’s starting to rain—again. Find all tools and put them away.
- Walk to the Farmer’s Market for garlic to plant.
- Plant garlic—60 cloves.
- Sow ceremonial wheat in the second third of the bed.
- Layer bed with straw and leaves.
- Place chicken wire over the entire bed to discourage cat and chicken action.
- Chase chickens off the bed.

LOL! I love that post - especially the part about going in for tea. 'Seems every project out our way takes twice as long and costs twice as much. I feel ya'! :)
