Tomatoes are up.
Brush with hands for strong stems.
Scent of summer food.
Tuesday:
CEA meeting.
Greet mayor; long council discussion.
Ready to sleep now.
Wednesday:
Feta cheese pie big hit.
Quaker potluck dinner laughs.
“Vegan in my heart?”
Thursday:
We knit, darn, mutter.
Warm fire, hear spider bite tales.
Quiet winter nights.
Friday:
Queen’s Chopstick dinner!
Spicy pad Thai, crisp broccoli,
Long, damp walk home—sleep.
Saturday:
I love the book sale.
Ride home in sleet, snow, big wind.
